Mineral:Quartz var. Amethystine Quartz scepter-shaped crystals with Sphalerite
Locality:Huaron District, Cerro de Pasco Province, Pasco Department, Peru
Description:Lustrous parallel translucent pale-purple (nearly colorless) amethystine quartz crystals to 50 mm with small black sphalerite crystals to 0.5 mm. The quartz crystals are scepter-shaped formations with large crystals overgrown on narrower crystals. Ex. G. McLoughlin collection; ex. Harold Urish collection #636; collected ca. 1980
